Abel Selaocoe
South African UK based cellist Abel Selaocoe is a versatile musician who is interested in exploring the capacity of the cello across genres, from collaborating with beatboxers, folk and world musicians to giving concerto performances and solo classical recitals. He has worked as a soloist with numerous orchestras throughout South Africa and abroad, having performed a wide range of concerto repertoire with the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic and the Johannesburg Philharmonic orchestras and looks forward to playing the Elgar Cello Concerto at London’s Cadogan Hall with the New London Orchestra. His music has been received in some of the world’s most prestigious music halls including Wigmore Hall (UK), Royal Concertgetbouw (The Netherlands), Konzerthaus (Berlin) and the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms (UK).

Patrick-GoodwinPatrick Goodwin
Born in Windhoek, Namibia, violinist Patrick Goodwin studied violin with Farida Bacharova in Cape Town and Olga Kaler in Chicago. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees with distinction in violin performance from the University of Cape Town and DePaul University School of Music respectively. As concertmaster of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Patrick regularly appears as leader and orchestral soloist for Operas, Ballets and Symphonic performances and has appeared as a featured soloist with various orchestras and in recital around South Africa. Patrick has previously been a faculty member at the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival and performs regularly in Cape Town as a member of the Bacharova Quartet, Juliet String Quartet and with many distinguished local and international artists. He is currently a part-time lecturer in violin at the South African College of Music, University of Cape Town.
