At the heart of this poem is the often neglected person caught in domestic violence – the child.
It weaves through the thoughts and feelings of the child during and after the incident. The aim of the project is to highlight the impact domestic violence has on children, as well as to explore the role it plays in further breaking our society. While the subject is hard, this work emphasises that the experiences of a mother aren’t necessarily those of a daughter.
