So the Carnival is over and we must say goodbye.   Sad but planning for next year already.

Last shows in short -

“Jurie Steyn’s Post Office” – disappointing and not Butler and Rebelo at their best;

“Discounted” – 4 people stuck in a shop on an island going nowhere but only they will not / cannot afford to admit this but when their world is threatened, they stand shoulder to shoulder to protect it.  Delightful and well performed.  A nice entertaining hour.

“Sunday Morning” with James Cuningham directed by Jenine Collocott – omigod !  It’s good, better, best.  It is just the bees’ knees and the best thing is that it opens at Kalk Bay Theatre next Saturday;

“Apartment 107″ – a dance show by Cape Town’s hottest dance studio, Enerchi, using the considerable skills of a variety dancers across the dance genres.  It’s vibrant, fun, and draws a brilliant response from the audience.  No esoteric crap, just good dancing and fine entertainment.

My Best 3 of the Fest – “Sunday Morning”, “3 Little Pigs” & “Kaput” with “…..miskien” bubbling very close under.

It’s been fun (except for the flu), it was quieter than last year, we need a wrap-up forum to look at what is good and what should change (and there are things that need to change) but try and keep me away next year
