Visitors with a disability

Wheelchairs can be accommodated in most venues. Please contact the Box Office Manager on telephone 046 603 1103 who will discuss your requirements and arrange assistance for you where necessary. Please note:
  • Should you wish to visit the 1820 Settlers National Monument to see the exhibitions or attend a performance in any one of the venues please contact the Box Office Manager on the telephone above in order that we can assist in facilitating your visit. We will arrange parking and alert security and the front-of-house staff to ensure you have trouble-free access.
  • The Guy Butler Theatre (Monument) is able to accommodate wheelchairs in the gallery. Please request this facility, if required, when making your booking. Also please contact us at the number above so that we can make the necessary arrangements for parking etc. If we know when and what venue you wish to visit we are only too willing to assist you to ensure that your visit to the National Arts Festival is a happy experience.

Refunds

Refunds for Main and Fringe events will be made only in the event of programme alterations or cancellations. The National Arts Festival cannot make other refunds or undertake to resell or exchange tickets. The Festival organisers cannot be held responsible if a production runs longer than the advertised duration. This information is supplied by the performers and is published as a guide. Allow at least 50 minutes between performances. We regret that we cannot refund tickets for late arrivals at performances. Please note penalties for cancellation of accommodation.

Discounts

The following apply to all Main events except Winter School, Films and Tours:
  • Friends of the Festival - TWO discounted tickets per performance
  • Members of the Grahamstown Foundation - TWO discounted tickets per Main performance
  • Students and Scholars (registered full-time only) and members of the Exclusive Books Fanatics programme - ONE discounted ticket per performance
  • Block Bookings - groups of TEN OR MORE seats per performance may be booked at Membership prices
